CETYS University provides assistance and orientation for course equivalency and credit for classes credited at an foreign institution, via the course equivalence and credit process.
Continue reading for further information.

NOTE: All documents should be handed in to CETYS administrative offices within the provided deadline after the admission and semester enrollment. The sole requirement is to provide proof that the process with the respective authorities is en course. Any proposal or technical opinion provided by our Registrar Office will have to be verified and ratified by the Secretariat of Education. The S.E. resolution it is definite in character and unappealable.

Course Equivalency

For studies in schools affiliated to the National Education System

Requirements (original and two copies):

  • Birth Certificate. In case of a different nationality, the certificate is required to be with an official seal (apostille) and translated to spanish by an certified translator, and the official immigration form certifying legal status in the country as a student
  • High School Certificate or its equivalence
  • Partial certificate from the preceding university, registered within the National Education System, legalized by the corresponding authority. For academic plans with valid state recognition, certificate should also be ratified by the state government where the preceding university is located
  • Descriptive letters of each of the accredited courses in the partial certificate with the official seal and in official paper form from the preceding university
  • Cover the course equivalence fee of $4, 330.00 MXP* (Four thousand thirty three mexican pesos 00/100) at CETYS Registrar Office)
*Amount valid for 2017.

Course Equivalency and Credit

For international studies in another country, by mexican nationals or foreign students.

Requirements:

  • Birth Certificate. In case of a different nationality, the certificate is required to be with an official seal (apostille) and translated to spanish by an certified translator, and the official immigration form certifying legal status in the country as a student
  • Junior High School Certificate, or Grade Certificate of years 7 and 8
  • Transcript and original High School diploma. Signed and with the school’s official seal from grades 9th through 12th, and with all courses completed
  • Spanish translation of the transcript and Diploma, sealed by legal instance, certified and with an apostille, as well as the birth certificate by an official mexican translator, registered to the State Tribunal of Justice
  • Official Transcript
  • Cover the course equivalence fee at CETYS Registrar. -$800.00 MXP (Eight hundred mexican pesos) for High School course equivalency -$4, 600.00 MXP for Undergraduate course equivalency
*Amount valid for 2017
NOTE: The equivalency and course credit are effective for full semesters, student must be a regular student, without any failed courses
